Soilmate 2025: A legacy for a greener tomorrow
Sourcefit volunteers returned to the La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City for Soilmate, our annual tree-planting activity, in partnership with the Million Trees Foundation, Inc. Together, we planted indigenous saplings to support watershed rehabilitation and help protect Metro Manila’s primary source of potable water.
Since 2022, Sourcefit has supported reforestation initiatives that prevent erosion, preserve biodiversity, and help clean the air. We are proud to continue building long-term partnerships that make restoration efforts more sustainable over time.
Established in 2017, the Million Trees Foundation has planted more than 10 million trees nationwide and aims to reach 15 million by 2030. Sourcefit remains committed to helping nurture a greener, healthier Philippines for future generations.

Empowering education, empowering futures
EmpowerED is one of Sourcefit’s most ambitious CSR programs, designed to help prepare students in the Philippines for the workplace through practical skills training, mentorship, and ongoing learning. In 2025, we launched the EmpowerED Ignite Hub at Cainta Senior High School, a dedicated learning space refurbished and equipped by Sourcefit to support in-person sessions and self-paced learning.
Students can access AI-powered online modules, join talks with subject matter experts, and book coaching sessions with Sourcefit mentors, with opportunities to apply what they learn through internships.

Planting hope, one tree at a time
In September 2024, Sourcefit volunteers again rolled up their sleeves for Soilmate Project, our annual tree-planting activity, this time in partnership with the Million Trees Foundation, Inc. (MTFI). MTFI is a nonprofit organization focused on preserving and restoring the ecosystem functions of the Philippines’ watersheds.
This year, more than 100 volunteers trekked to the La Mesa Watershed, a protected area that houses the primary source of potable drinking water for Metro Manila residents. We were able to plant 1,100 saplings, which will contribute to increased green cover and enhanced air quality, with the potential to sequester 147 tons of carbon.
In keeping with two of our 10 Cs Vision – caring for the well-being of our employees and community members and living our commitment to conservation – our Soilmate Project is a welcome opportunity to be surrounded by nature and plant the seeds of our collective hope for a greener, healthier planet Earth.

Go Beyond follows the farm-to-table journey
In 2024, we partnered with Global Seed Savers (GSS), an NGO with operations in Cebu and the Province of Benguet that works with smallholder farmers to advance the science and business of saving seeds. Seed saving is the process of nurturing seeds from one harvest to the next to empower farmers to produce their own seeds and maintain biodiversity.
Our leaders visited the GSS facility in the Cordillera region, helped plant indigenous seeds, and met the farmers who cultivated the produce that went into our Sustainable Food Baskets. With these farmers’ nurturing hands, Sourcefit and Global Seed Savers were able to fill 3,000 bags with fresh fruits and vegetables, which were then shared with our partner community in Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City, as part of our Go Beyond year-end gift-giving tradition.
By following the journey of a simple seed, from an NGO’s seed bank, to a farmer’s land, to a family’s dining table, Sourcefit helped champion farm-to-table practices and build a deeper appreciation for what it takes to grow and share good food.

Go Beyond Christmas Basket 2025
In December 2025, we continued our Go Beyond Christmas Basket tradition in partnership with Global Seed Savers and the Quezon City local government. We sourced vegetable Christmas baskets, featuring fresh produce from Benguet farmers plus a rice pack, and distributed them to selected families in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
This annual initiative supports sustainable livelihoods for our partner farmers while providing healthy, locally sourced food to families in our chosen community.
